Creativity has always been my outlet.

There’s something about the simple act of making art — each line, each stroke, each mark — that quiets my mind and melts away the noise of the day. Putting pen, pencil, or paint to a blank page is my favorite form of therapy.

My work doesn’t fit neatly into one style or medium, and I like it that way. I move between detailed pen-and-ink drawings, abstract line work, acrylic paintings, colored pencil, mixed media, and digital designs. Sometimes I start with a clear idea, and other times I simply pick up a pen and see where it takes me.

I’m especially drawn to finding unexpected stories and images within my work — hidden faces in landscapes, emotion in a scribbled line, a pop of color in a black-and-white drawing, or familiar objects transformed into something completely new. Some pieces are playful and a little weird, while others come from deeply personal places and experiences.

Usually, I’ll put on a podcast, settle in, and let my hands take over. I don’t always know what a piece will become when I begin. I just keep creating until it reveals itself.

For me, art is about more than making something beautiful. It’s about curiosity, self-expression, memory, emotion, and sometimes simply giving my brain somewhere else to go.
