Entwined Souls is a series of four black-and-white figure studies created during my undergraduate studies using pen and ink. Each drawing was built through layers of loose, repetitive scribbling, allowing the figures and their emotions to emerge through the density and movement of the marks.
The series explores an unbalanced connection between two people. The man is drawn toward the woman with a strong sense of longing, while she remains distant and uninterested. Their contrasting body language creates a quiet tension between desire and detachment, connection and rejection.
The scribbled lines reinforce this emotional tension. The raw, repetitive marks give the drawings a sense of movement and unrest, reflecting the intensity of one person's desire against the other's indifference.
